Government Moral Crisis On Energy And Water

Government Moral Crisis On Energy And Water
  • Humans are the cause of the climate crisis. countries are becoming aware to climate change because of economic balance sheets, not because they care about the environment.
  • The government recognizes the dangers of methane but never takes action and seems to scoff at the quality of its citizens’ human resources.
  • This country going to pretend to be ignorant bourgeois, when it is still working class.

It is an interesting condition that groundwater is decreasing, and sea water is rising. Global disasters are not one-offs. There have been population-reducing ice ages, meteor crashes, pandemics and the list goes on.

Natural Disasters That The Global Community Is Unaware Of, Is Indonesia One Of Them?

Sea level rise is an undeniable fact of disaster. From this we can see that two crises are occurring and adding to the list of global dangers. First, the climate crisis that is “warming the earth”, which activists call as “global boiling”. This phenomenon of global warming may not be realized or even dismissed by certain groups. And those groups have apparently been slapped with a painful fact. That fact was provided by Mount Fuji, which recently had not been covered with snow until October 2024.

It’s a burden of proof (onus probandi) that environmental and climate activists don’t have to struggle with. Nature proves it directly and bluntly through an iconic country (Fuji, Japan) to show the world. But will anyone still challenge the climate crisis argument? Of course, it’s like arguing about the flat earth theory.

Secondly, the water crisis is due to urbanization and the concentration of settlements in areas that have limited capacity. Many reports describe how big cities such as Jakarta, Semarang are sinking. The reason for this is not only the fault of the soil strength because it cannot withstand the weight of construction and dense settlements.

Rather, it is because groundwater is taken for consumption needs. It is appropriate that humans in this case are like mosquitoes or vampires that suck (damaging) the earth. mosquitoes spread diseases from the same process as humans do. The difference is that mosquitoes are not harmed in this activity. Meanwhile, humans are affected in the process, which is ironic actually.

Creatures who are given a mind and are at the top of the food chain, are doing the biggest stupidity in history. It seems that this could be considered as one of the failed products of the mental revolution. Or even not a failed product actually, but simply because the current policies and examples do not reflect proper morals.

The moral crisis does not need to nudge at political issues, although all issues always intersect with this one issue. The most obvious moral crisis is the behavior of people who cannot even appreciate the surrounding environment. The simplest example is littering, and the worst is the sense of ignorance that is ingrained in society.

Old-fashioned? Not really, maybe this is just an example of backwardness, which could even be a highly educated person. In this era, a degree and duration of study cannot guarantee brain function. A statement that is considered very rude actually for a writing that will be read by a dignified person. But this is a fact that can no longer be denied, and as a slap for people who try to argue for a decent defense.

The Indonesian Government’s Morals In The Energy Crisis

In terms of timeline, the earth is known to have experienced five major extinctions. Now that humans have entered their extinction phase, the era has been built during the industrial revolution. Not only human greed for expansion and conflict between each other, but also the massive consumption of fossils.

Indonesia may not have experienced the phenomenon of energy crisis as felt by European countries in recent years. In terms of electrical energy, Indonesia is experiencing a surplus of electricity. Surplus, a positive term in economics, but backfires on the consumption sector. The national electricity surplus that occurs forces PLN (state electricity company) to bear the production of electricity which then leads to losses because there is no sector that can consume it (buy electricity).

This then became the milestone of a policy change that was considered positive with the “conversion program”. Moving the use of gas-fueled stoves to electricity, as well as in the vehicle sector. In fact, the change in the government’s policy outlook is suspected to be due to the economically detrimental aspects of business, not on environmental awareness.

This is a point that needs to be widely known. that the government’s progress in promoting conversion is solely due to the aspect of state balance sheet losses. The government seems to be very strongly inclined to the position of the real capitalists, rather than trying to secure the country. or is the government actually experiencing a complex crisis in every sector, and the economic sector is the toughest point?

That progress is something that every observer must understand to lower their standards to the lowest level. Where Indonesia is still far from climate mitigation efforts. Because if there was no issue of loss, the country could have continued to exploit its fossil reserves. Yet the government is playing it very neatly by using the opportunity of climate mitigation efforts to improve its image as well as its economic sectors. This ingenuity is commendable as an unintentional environmental rescue initiative.

A Society That Doesn’t Know Its Limits?

Food waste is a big problem among urban dwellers, especially among those with high wealth status. Many people have sufficient money to buy food in large quantities without thinking about the impact. They tend to overbuy food and don’t take into consideration how much will be consumed, leading to food waste. This happens due to a lack of awareness of the value of sustainability and a lack of empathy for social and environmental conditions. The tendency to accumulate food without thinking about it creates a huge impact on our planet.

This food waste is closely related to environmental degradation. Food production requires a lot of natural resources, such as water, land and energy. When food is thrown away, we are also throwing away the natural resources that have been used to produce it. In addition, wasted food will end up in landfills, where the decomposition process produces methane gas, one of the greenhouse gases that contribute significantly to global warming. This shows that food waste is not only socially detrimental but also ecological, as it exacerbates climate change.

Lack of empathy for social and environmental conditions further exacerbates this problem. Urbanites living in comfort often don’t realize that there are many people out there who do not have enough food and resources. Meanwhile, those who have access to food tend to feel no guilt about throwing it away. Is this country going to pretend to be ignorant bourgeois when it is still working class?.

This low awareness of sustainability and social responsibility is further exacerbated, as environmental issues and global warming continue to grow. If this consumptive and irresponsible behavior is not stopped immediately, the impact will be increasingly felt and can threaten the future of our planet. and the last sentence is “welcome the apocalypse created by our own greed”.
