Development of PLTMH Batu Malang City

One of the PLTMH in Indonesia is located in Malang Regency, Batu City. The development of PLTMH was built along with river water discharge, with bamboo plants planted along the river. State Electricity Company Builds Micro Hydro Power Plant

The State Electricity Company (PLN) is building a PLTMH to invest and support renewable energy. The electricity capacity produced is 8.95 megawatts, with an investment value of 200 billion. The PLTMH they built is located in Batanghari, West Sumatra, with a capacity of 5.1 megawatts, in Titab Bali, with a capacity of 1.27 megawatts, and in Pandan Duri, NTB, with a capacity of 0.58 megawatts. The power plant uses a dam owned by PUPR. The three micro hydro power plants will produce an increase in renewable energy of 42 gigawatt hour (GWh) per year. The state power plant targets the plant to be operational in March 2024. By utilizing PUPR’s dam, it can shorten the time for adding water capacity. The number of dams in Indonesia really supports the development of PLTMH. The construction of PLTMH can save the country’s electricity budget.
