Jakarta, 03 Juni 2024 – Melalui Peraturan Presiden tersebut Nomor 33 Tahun 2021 tentang pembentukan BRIN, yang kemudian disempurnakan dengan Peraturan Presiden Nomor 78 Tahun 2021 pada tanggal 24 Agustus 2021, Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional (BRIN) ditetapkan sebagai lembaga pemerintah untuk melaksanakan riset dan inovasi, penyedia rekomendasi kebijakan berbasis ilmu pengetahuan dan bukti, serta funding agency untuk mendukung aktivitas riset dan inovasi nasional memanfaatkan sumber daya (manusia, infrastruktur, anggaran) pemerintah yang dikonsolidasikan ke dalam BRIN.
Memulai perannya sebagai funding agency untuk memperkuat ekosistem riset dan inovasi nasional, BRIN berperan aktif meramaikan perayaan Hari Kebangkitan Teknologi Nasional (Hakteknas) 2024 dengan kembali menginisiasi gelaran Indonesia Research and Innovation (Inari) Expo 2024 dan Indonesia Electric Motor Show (IEMS) 2024, yang akan digelar pada 8- 11 Agustus 2024 di Kawasan Sains dan Teknologi (KST) Soekarno di Cibinong, Bogor.
Seperti tahun sebelumnya, InaRi Expo merupakan pameran riset terbesar yang dilaksanakan bertepatan dengan peringatan Hari Kebangkitan Teknologi Nasional yang ke-29 tahun 2024. InaRI Expo merupakan pameran riset dan inovasi terbesar di negara kita yang menjadi motor untuk mencapai inovasi yang maju dan merupakan satu bentuk pertanggungjawaban BRIN kepada masyarakat mengenai riset dan inovasi yang sudah dihasilkan.
Kepala BRIN, Laksana Tri Handoko, memberikan apresiasi kepada seluruh pihak yang telah hadir pada hari ini, di acara Road to Hakteknas 2024: InaRI Expo 2024 dan IEMS 2024, yang akan kembali diselenggarakan pada tanggal 08 sampai 11 Agustus 2024 di Kawasan Sains dan Teknologi Soekarno, Cibinong, Kabupaten Bogor.
“Inari Expo pada tahun ini mengambil tema “Innovate, Collaborate, Empowering Indonesia”. Tema ini menggambarkan semangat untuk terus berinovasi dan berkolaborasi untuk masa depan Indonesia yang lebih sejahtera, berdaya saing dan mandiri. Tema ini juga menyoroti peran dan kapasitas inovasi Indonesia yang dihasilkan melalui riset dan kolaborasi guna mendorong perekonomian dan pertumbuhan masa kini dan di masa depan,” jelas Handoko, dalam acara Road to Hakteknas 2024: InaRI Expo 2024 dan IEMS 2024, di Auditorium B.J. Habibie, BRIN Thamrin, Senin (3/6/2024).
Handoko berharap, sesuai dengan tema yang telah dicanangkan untuk InaRI Expo 2024, yaitu Innovative, Collaborate, Empowering Indonesia, melalui ajang event pameran ini dapat lebih mendekatkan riset dan inovasi dari aktivitas BRIN, yaitu science, technology, and innovation (STI) kepada masyarakat. “Khususnya bagi generasi muda yang akan meneruskan menjadi teknisi, pebisnis, birokrat, teknokrat, dan sebagainya, yang memiliki literasi yang jauh lebih baik dari kita semua untuk mencapai Indonesia Emas di 2045,” jelas dia.
Fokus Riset Pangan dan Energi
Inari Expo merupakan pameran yang diinisiasi BRIN dan tahun ini merupakan tahun ke empat penyelenggaraan InaRI Expo. “Inari Expo merupakan bukti komitmen dukungan BRIN dalam menumbuhkan budaya riset dan inovasi unggul di Indonesia. InaRI Expo juga menjadi pengingat akan pentingnya peran riset dan inovasi dalam mendorong kemajuan negara kita,” jelas dia.
Menurut Handoko, dengan menyandarkan semuanya pada science dan nilai tambah berbasis IPTEK dan Riset yang memiliki inovasi yang kuat sehingga meningkatkan competitiveness (daya saing) dari berbagai produk Indonesia di tingkat global. “Semoga ini menjadi titik awal untuk penyelenggaran event InaRI Expo 2024 yang lebih baik, besar, dan menarik untuk memperkenalkan aktivitas riset, inovasi dan IPTEK kepada seluruh masyarakat dan stakeholder secara luas,” kata Handoko.
Lanjut Handoko, untuk riset skala prioritas, seperti yang sudah diamanatkan sejak pembentukan BRIN 3 tahun lalu, BRIN akan berfokus pada pangan dan energi. “Pangan mencakup kesehatan dan energi mencakup lingkungan. Sebab hal ini masih menjadi problem saat ini. Bukan berarti bidang yang lain tidak diprioritaskan, tetapi kami arahkan untuk pangan dan energi,” jelas Handoko.
Fully Autonomous EV
Salah satu komitmen Indonesia di tingkat global adalah melakukan penggunaan energi yang lebih ramah lingkungan. Bahkan, energi ramah lingkungan sudah menjadi tuntutan global di tengah tekanan fluktuasi harga komoditas terkait. “Energi semakin tidak dapat diprediksi sehingga kami berfokus memberikan jawaban, tidak hanya untuk target mencapai net zero emission (NZE) di 2060. Tetapi juga untuk ketahanan dan kedaultan energi Indonesia untuk jangka panjang, termasuk riset kendaraan listrik atau electric vehicle (EV).
Menurut Handoko, teknologi kendaraan listrik saat ini sudah establish dan sudah banyak merek kendaraan yang sudah di jual. “BRIN akan masuk dalam riset dan inovasi kendaraan listrik full autonomus untuk kebutuhan tertentu, seperti kebutuhan logistik, pergudangan, perkantoran dan sebagainya,” kata Handoko.
Handoko menambahkan, BRIN masuk ke dalam aspek kecerdasan EV, bukan di produk electric vehicle-nya itu sendiri. “Untuk kendaraan listrik, kami menggelar IEMS 2024 yang akan menampilkan variasi produk EV, test drive dan test ride. Konsep InaRI Expo dan IEMS 2024 merupakan pameran dengan konsep indoor dan outdoor sehingga lebih sehat dan ramah lingkungan yang sangat cocok untuk ekosistem EV,” pungkas Handoko.
