GESITS merupakan motor listrik lokal buatan Indonesia yang dibuat oleh mahasiswa Institut Teknologi Sepuluh November (ITS). Motor buatan anak bangsa menjadi salah satu terobosan menuju era kendaraan listrik di Indonesia yang ramah lingkungan.
Hadirnya kendaraan listrik karya anak bangsa ini dapat mendukung pemerintah dalam percepatan kendaraan listrik dan mengurangi emisi karbon di tahun 2060.
Dalam dukungan regulasi pemerintah yang telah dikeluarkan PERPRES No.55 Tahun 2019 tentang percepatan kendaraan listrik berbasis baterai untuk transportasi jalan. Adanya motor listrik berbasis baterai ini dapat mengurangi emisi karbon dan lapisan ozon.
Pemerintah Bali mulai mendukung dengan penggunaan kendaraan listrik dan menyemarakkan komunitas dan motor listrik GESITS untuk memperkenalkan kepada masyarakat bahwa motor listrik bebas emisi dan ramah lingkungan. Terdapat PERGUB Bali No.48 Tahun 2019 tentang penggunaan kendaraan bermotor istrik berbasis baterai.

Ambisi pemerintah di tahun 2060 masyarakat sudah menggunakan kendaraan bertenaga listrik dan sudah mulai terbiasa dengan era kendaraan listrik. Ambisi pemerintah tidak semata-mata untuk kendaraan modern melainkan mengurangi perubahan iklim dunia (climate change) yang dibeberapa negara seperti di Norwegia sudah 80% menggunakan kendaraan listrik untuk menjaga menjaga tingkat kenaikan suhu sebesar satu setengah derajat celcius.
Sehingga, pemerintah Indonesia memiliki target pengurangan emisi pada tahun 2030 dengan cara mempercepat penghentian penggunaan batu bara, mengekang deforestasi, mempercepat peralihan ke ekonomi yang lebih hijau. Penyebab perubahan iklim merusak ekosistem alam, kesehatan manusia dengan adanya Gerakan pemerintah dalam melindungi dan memulihkan negara-negara yang sudah berdampak perubahan iklim.
GESITS Pratama hadir dalam menyiapkan Bali menuju era Kendaraan Listrik guna meningkatkan penggunaan motor listrik di Bali. Lokasi GESITS Pratama di di Jalan Diponegoro No.224, Dauh Puri Kelod, Kecamatan Denpasar Barat, Bali. Dalam 2 tahun belakang ini GESITS sudah dipasarkan dan sukses jutaan unit diproduksi.
Terdapat 1 tipe yang disebar ke seluruh Indonesia yaitu tipe G1 sangat popular di kalangan masyarakat. Warna yang dimiliki tipe G1 adalah merah, putih dan abu-abu.
Motor listrik GESITS ini menggunakan baterai yang memiliki tegangan 72 Volt, jarak tempuh dalam penggunaan 1 baterai bisa sampai 50 km/charge dan kecepatan maksimal motor listrik yaitu 70 km/jam Jenis baterai yang digunakan adalah Lithium-ion dalam pengisian memerlukan waktu 3-4 jam. Baterai Swap ini bertujuan untuk memudahkan para pengguna kendaraan listrik melakukan pengisian baterai.
Terdapat fitur-fitur canggih yang dimiliki GESITS Tipe G1 ini yaitu kontroler, sensor, dan panel display. Pada kontroler motor listrik digunakan untuk mengontrol kecepatan sehingga pada saat dijalan pengguna dapat aman. Kontroler ini berada pada rem dan stang gas yang dapat menurunkan kecepatan saat gas dilepas juga memiliki mode yang dapat mengatur kecepatan mode-mode tersebut yaitu Eco, Urban, dan Sport. Lalu, motor ini memiliki sensor yang digunakan untuk mengatur pergerakan. Fitur ini digunakan untuk mempermudah saat berada di parkiran sempit, untuk itu tombol mundur dan juga maju dapat diaktifkan.

Lalu, GESITS saat ini memiliki sensor suhu yang dapat memantau panasnya mesin pada motor listrik. Dan yang terakhir panel display, ini yang menarik karena sudah menggunakan fitur yang canggih. Panel display berada pada kepala motor yang memiliki macam-macam fitur seperti melihat kecepatan motor (speedometer), melihat suhu pada mesin, melihat kondisi baterai berapa persen untuk antisipasi habisnya baterai. Dengan fitur-fitur yang canggih ini dapat menjadikan Indonesia lebih maju karena menerapkan teknologi-teknologi digital pada sektor transportasi.
Program-Program yang Disiapkan Bali sebagai Pilot Project Net Zero Emission
Salah satu sumber utama emisi itu adalah konsumsi energi yang disebabkan oleh rumah tangga, transportasi dan pariwisata. Lebih spesifik lagi sumber emisi itu adalah polusi CO2 yang berasal dari pembangkit listrik dan kendaraan. Untuk itu, salah satu skenario penurunan emisi menuju Bali bersih dengan nol emisi gas buang adalah dengan mengurangi polusi dari kedua sumber, pembangkit listrik dan kendaraan.
Bali telah menyusun peta jalan (road map) serta rencana aksi untuk menuju era kendaraan listrik dengan berbagai komunitas penggiat kendaran listrik. Peta jalan akan tersusun hingga tahun 2030. Kegiatan peduli lingkungan lainnya mengacu pada visi dan misi Nangun Sat Kerthi Loka Bali berpijak pada konsep Tri Hita Karana telah lama dilaksanakan Pemprov Bali. Salah satu contohnya adalah peningkatan kendaraan listrik, pengelolaan sampah berbasis sumber, serta kebijakan mengenai Ekonomi Bali Hijau. Karena itu, Bali siap untuk dijadikan percontohan.
Pemerintah telah menyiapkan program kerja seperti peta jalan menuju net zero emission dalam periode 2021-2060. Untuk mendorong penggunaan kendaraan listrik terdapat target penjualan kendaraan listrik yaitu menghentikan penjualan motor konvensional di tahun 2040 dan mobil konvensional di tahun 2050 serta penyediaan transportasi umum yang lebih massif.
Suatu kebanggaan, apabila di Indonesia sudah mencapai target Net Zero Emission dan salah satu pendukung capaian NZE adalah motor listrik GESITS Karya Anak Bangsa.
