Keren! Energi Batu Bara di Bangka Diubah Menjadi Biomassa

  • Pemerintah RI menerapkan biomassa sebagai salah satu substitusi bahan bakar PLTU batu bara untuk mempercepat akselerasi pemanfaatan Energi Baru Terbarukan (EBT) menuju target 23 persen pada tahun 2025.
  • Kementerian Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral (ESDM) mengklaim bahwasanya program substitusi bimassa atau co-firing pada PLTU berbahan dasar batu bara akan meningkatkan bauran EBT.
  • Program co-firing sejalan dengan upaya Indonesia mendorong target netralitas karbon pada tahun 2060 mendatang.

Dalam keterangannya, PT PLN (Persero) mengaplikasikan perubahan Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Uap (PLTU) Air Anyir di Bangka, dari yang sebelumnya menggunakan batu bara saat ini menggunakan energi biomassa.

Hal tersebut dilakukan melalui implementasi cofiring atau pencampuran biomassa dengan batu bara.

Pemerintah RI menerapkan biomassa sebagai salah satu substitusi bahan bakar PLTU batu bara untuk mempercepat akselerasi pemanfaatan Energi Baru Terbarukan (EBT) menuju target 23 persen pada tahun 2025.

Program co-firing sejalan dengan upaya Indonesia mendorong target netralitas karbon pada tahun 2060 mendatang.

Perusahaan pelat merah kenamaan, PLN kabarnya sudah melakukan kontrak untuk penyediaan woodchip pada PLTU Air Anyir sebanyak 15.000 ton untuk periode 1 tahun kedepan dan direncanakan pengiriman perdana ke unit pada bulan Juli 2022.

PLTU Air Anyir Bangka telah melakukan uji bakar pada 19 April 2021 lalu dengan menggunakan woodchip 5% dengan hasil aman dan memenuhi parameter desain. Pengujian dilakukan pada beban 25 MW gross dengan menggunakan 36 ton biomassa. Secara umum kondisi semua parameter boiler dan operasi normal.

Disamping itu, penyedia woodchip untuk PLTU Air Anyir adalah KSO PT Biro Teknik Sinar Baru, Koperasi Energi Terbarukan Indonesia (Kopetindo), dan PT Solusi Energindo Inovasi. Penyedia juga bekerjasama dengan kehutanan sosial seperti Hutan Rakyat, Hutan Desa, dan juga Hutan Produksi melalui Kelompok Tani Hutan dan Kesatuan Pengelolaan Hutan (KPH).
