Rancangan Undang-Undang Energi Baru Terbarukan (RUU EBT) di Indonesia telah mencapai tahap penting yang diperkirakan selesai pada September 2023. Direktur Jenderal Energi Baru, Terbarukan, dan Konservasi Energi (EBTKE) Kementerian Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral (ESDM), Dadan Kusdiana menegaskan bahwa pemerintah berkomitmen untuk mendorong pengembangan dan pemanfaatan sumber EBT. RUU ini akan menjadi dasar hukum yang mendukung pertumbuhan industri hijau dan ekonomi nasional yang berkelanjutan.

Pemerintah Indonesia menunjukkan komitmennya terhadap pengembangan dan penggunaan EBT. Hal ini dilakukan sebagai bagian dari upaya untuk mengurangi dampak perubahan iklim dan menjaga keberlanjutan sumber daya energi. Menurut penjelasan Dadan Kusdiana, RUU EBT sedang dalam proses pembahasan dan diharapkan selesai pada September 2023.

“Semua komitmen saya kira sudah sangat lengkap dari sisi pemerintah. Dari sisi regulasi kami sekarang sedang menyelesaikan untuk UU EBT. Kita terus melakukan pembahasan-pembahasan dengan target kira-kira sekitar September, targetnya sekitar September Undang-Undang ini bisa diselesaikan,” kata Dadan Kusdiana.

Pemerintah bersama Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat (DPR) tengah membahas Daftar Inventarisasi Masalah (DIM) yang mencakup 574 permasalahan terkait energi. Hingga saat ini, sudah dibahas sekitar 160 DIM, sehingga menunjukkan kemajuan sebesar 15% dalam pembahasan RUU EBT.

Menteri Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral (ESDM), Arifin Tasrif juga menekankan urgensi RUU EBET dalam mendukung pembangunan industri hijau dan pertumbuhan ekonomi nasional. Dengan dasar hukum yang kuat, diharapkan pengembangan EBT dapat dioptimalkan, lembaga dan tata kelola dapat diperkuat, serta menciptakan iklim investasi yang kondusif bagi para investor EBT.

RUU EBT juga memiliki juga memiliki peran penting dalam mendorong tingkat komponen dalam negeri (TKDN) dengan mempertimbangkan ketersediaan sumber daya dalam negeri yang masih belum mencukupi. Hal ini akan mendukung keberlanjutan kompetitivitas EBT dan pertumbuhan industri di dalam negeri.

Dalam upaya mencapai target capaian nol emisi karbon pada 2060 dan tingkat bauran energi terbarukan sebesar 23% pada 2025, pemerintah Indonesia saat ini sedang gencar dalam mendorong penggunaan Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya (PLTS) Atap. PLTS Atap menjadi solusi yang dapat memenuhi kebutuhan energi listrik pada berbagai sektor, terutama di sektor industri komersial.

Sektor industri dianggap memiliki potensi besar untuk percepatan penetrasi energi baru terbarukan (EBT). Oleh karena itu, SUNterra sebagai salah satu pelaku utama dalam pengembangan PLTS, telah menjalin kemitraan dengan berbagai pihak untuk melakukan instalasi PLTS guna mengurangi jejak karbon dari aktivitas operasional perusahaan.

Berfokus pada sektor residensial, sosial, dan komersial dengan skala menengah, SUNterra telah berhasil menyelesaikan proyek PLTS dengan kapasitas total lebih dari 2,5 MWp semenjak didirikan pada 2020.

Salah satu contoh sukses dalam pemanfaatan PLTS adalah PT Modern Plastic Industry (MPI). Perusahaan yang bergerak sebagai produsen kemasan plastik ini memulai praktik bisnis yang berkelanjutan dengan instalasi PLTS Atap berkapasitas 151,25 kWp.

Instalasi sistem PLTS pada PT MPI menggunakan sistem On Grid yang masih terhubung dengan jaringan PLN, dengan kapasitas per panel sebesar 550 Wp. Selain menyokong operasional pabrik, instalasi PLTS juga menyumbang pasokan energi pada kegiatan perkantoran yang berada pada lokasi yang sama. Pada tahun 2023, PT MPI bersama dengan SUNterra berencana untuk menambah kapasitas PLTS sebesar 201 kWp, sehingga total kapasitas PLTS di green energy factory mereka akan mencapai 352 kWp.

Penggunaan panel surya dari Jinko Solar dengan MBB HC Technology membuat setiap panel yang terpasang di PT MPI memiliki durabilitas dan performa sistem PLTS yang tangguh. Dengan instalasi PLTS ini, PT MPI diperkirakan dapat menurunkan emisi karbon sebanyak 79 ton per tahun, setara dengan menanam 58.714 pohon selama 25 tahun.

Sistem PLTS di PT MPI juga diimbangi dengan penggunaan inverter dari Sungrow bertipe SG125CX. Inverter seri premium Sungrow SG125CX memiliki bankability terbaik dunia, yang didukung oleh Utomo SolaRUV. Inverter ini dirancang untuk pengaplikasian sistem PLTS Atap di segmen komersial industrial yang mampu menghasilkan daya yang lebih tinggi, sistem monitoring energi yang cerdas, serta tingkat efektifitas hingga 98,5 persen.

Melalui investasi dan inovasi dalam PLTS Atap, perusahaan-perusahaan seperti PT MPI dapat secara signifikan menurunkan emisi karbon mereka, memberikan kontribusi positif pada lingkungan, dan menciptakan bisnis yang lebih berkelanjutan. Pemanfaatan energi surya sebagai sumber energi listrik alternatif menjadi langkah.
