Perdana Menteri (PM) Jepang Fumio Kishida mengungkapkan, negaranya sedang memproses pinjaman sebesar 43,6 miliar Yen untuk menyelesaikan pembangunan PLTA Peusangan di Indonesia.
Beliau mengatakan pinjaman tersebut merupakan salah satu program kerja sama infrastruktur antara kedua negara tersebut.
“Kami ingin mendukung peningkatan kapasitas keamanan maritim Indonesia dengan melanjutkan studi pengadaan kapal patroli, dan juga berniat memberikan pinjaman yen sekitar 43,6 miliar yen atas rencana pembangunan pembangkit listrik tenaga air. di Indonesia,” ungkap PM Fumio Kishida dalam jumpa pers bersama Presiden Joko Widodo (Jokowi) siang ini (27/7/2022).

“Saya juga telah mengkonfirmasikan dengan Bapak Presiden untuk mendorong kerja sama yang lebih erat dalam mewujudkan komunitas emisi nol Asia serta kerja sama dalam bidang dekarbonisasi dan energi,” ujarnya.
Selain itu, PM Kishida mengapresiasi mulai banyaknya perusahaan Jepang yang berinvestasi di Indonesia. Khususnya di bidang energi, otomotif, keamanan, pangan serta pembentukan dan pengembangan start up.
Pada kesempatan yang sama, Presiden Jokowi juga meminta agar Jepang mempercepat penyelesaian sejumlah proyek seperti perluasan Pelabuhan Patimban sekaligus Jalan Tol Akses Patimban, kawasan industri di Papua Barat, proyek MRT Fase lanjutan, dan komitmen kerja sama bagi kelanjutan Proyek Gas Masela.
