Jakarta, 7 September 2023 – New Energy Nexus (NEX) Indonesia sukses menyelenggarakan [Re]Energize 2023: Hacking the Climate Crisis, sebuah platform inovatif yang bertujuan mendukung ide-ide kreatif yang mengubah paradigma dan membuka pintu bagi startup untuk mendapatkan akses pendanaan. Didukung oleh IKEA Foundation, acara ini mengedepankan peran profesional muda, inovator iklim, startup, dan pengusaha dalam kontribusi terhadap pembangunan ekonomi berkelanjutan, transisi energi, dan dekarbonisasi di Indonesia melalui teknologi iklim dan digitalisasi.
Diyanto Imam, Direktur New Energy Nexus Indonesia, menyatakan, “NEX Indonesia bertujuan menjembatani kesenjangan pengetahuan dan kapasitas dengan memfasilitasi generasi muda untuk terlibat dalam aksi mengatasi krisis iklim. Melalui sesi Hackathon dan Investment Speed Dating di [RE]Energize 2023: Hacking the Climate Crisis, kami berharap dapat memunculkan lebih banyak inovasi bisnis di sektor energi bersih dan iklim. [Re]Energize 2023 adalah upaya kami untuk ikut mendorong transformasi positif dalam mengatasi dampak perubahan iklim di Indonesia.”
Selama Mei – September 2023, [RE]Energize Hackathon berhasil menarik hampir 100 tim inovator. Setelah melewati proses seleksi ketat, terpilih 10 startup atau tim yang maju ke babak final dan berpartisipasi dalam Demo Day – Sesi yang berlangsung pada hari terakhir [RE]Energize, 7 September 2023.
Para dewan juri menilai berbagai kriteria, termasuk pemahaman startup atau tim tentang masalah serta solusi yang mereka tawarkan. Berdasarkan kriteria-kriteria yang telah disepakati oleh para ahli dan dewan juri, juara pertama, kedua, dan ketiga, serta juara favorit audiens telah diumumkan dan akan menerima total hadiah sebesar Rp 100 juta, sebagai berikut:
Juara 1 dan Juara Favorit Audiens: Tim Inovator PACE – Sistem irigasi pintar berbasis energi terbarukan untuk mengatasi permasalahan pengelolaan air pada pertanian di Nusa Tenggara Timur
Juara 2: Tim Inovator Terra Verde – mengembangkan instalasi rumah kaca pintar mengintegrasikan teknologi seperti pembelajaran mesin Internet of Things (IoT) dan cloud computing
Juara 3: Tim Inovator PLUMO – sebuah platform yang dirancang untuk menyediakan alat terukur yang praktis dan ilmiah bagi industri makanan untuk melacak jejak karbon produk mereka

Selain [Re]Energize Hackathon, New Energy Nexus juga akan menggelar Investment Speed Dating 2023, yang memfasilitasi pertemuan langsung antara startup teknologi iklim dan investor yang cocok. Tujuan acara ini adalah memberikan eksposur dan membantu startup teknologi iklim untuk mendapatkan akses pendanaan, serta memperluas jaringan kolaborasi antara startup dan investor demi masa depan yang lebih berkelanjutan.
Tahun ini, [RE]Energize Hackathon turut didukung oleh Enerka, Generasi Lestari, Lingkar Temu Kabupaten Lestari, Komunitas Startup Teknologi Energi Bersih, Teens Go Green, UNS Innovation Hub, Yayasan Indonesia cerah, serta bermitra dengan Changemakr Asia, Katadata, Katadata Green, dan Zona EBT, sebagai organisasi dan perusahaan yang turut mendukung keberlangsungan iklim
Sebagai organisasi yang fokus pada pengembangan ekosistem startup teknologi iklim di Indonesia, New Energy Nexus yakin bahwa Indonesia memiliki potensi untuk menjadi pemimpin ekonomi internet di Asia Tenggara pada tahun 2025.
