Kualifikasi Umum :
• Bachelor degree (Master degree or above preferable) in forestry, agriculture, natural resource management, or other fields related to forestry and carbon accounting.
• More than 10 years of experience in carbon projects or related sectors, including at least 5 years in leadership role in project operations and minimum 3 years working in Indonesia.
• Strong understanding of carbon accounting methodologies and international nature-based standards and guidelines, i.e. Verified Carbon Standard (VCS), Climate, Community, Biodiversity (CCB) Standard, the Gold Standard.
• Familiar with Indonesia forestry regulations.
• Hands-on experience in managing nature-based solution projects including project planning, implementation, and monitoring.
• Have strong leadership and management skills, with experience in leading a mix of field and various technical team.
• Excellent verbal and wring communicator.
• Excellent relationship-building skills
Deskripsi Pekerjaan :
STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP
• Develop and implement technical strategies, policies, and procedures for forest carbon projects.
• Lead and motivate the operational and technical team to achieve project targets and milestones.
OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE
• Develop and maintain internal operational standards and procedures adhering international standards and regulatory requirements, such as those for restoration, conservation programs, community development and fire management. Ensure strict compliance with international standards, methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
• Review various technical consultant works and provide comments and recommendations on contents, as well as review various project design documents.
• Prepare operational work plans, milestones, and deliverables for CarbonX projects.
TEAM AND CAPACITY BUILDING
• Build a strong technical and operational team.
• Foster knowledge sharing and capacity building among project teams through training sessions, workshops, and technical support.
• Stay up to date with the latest developments and best practices in forest carbon projects, carbon markets, and climate change mitigation strategies.
LEAD TECHNICAL CAPABILITY
• Provide technical guidance on project development, including site selection, baseline assessments, carbon accounting, and monitoring and verification protocols.
• Conduct assessments on project proposals, and feasibility studies, and prepare technical reports.
• Collaborate with the team to write project identification notes or project design documents when needed.
• Accountable for the successful completion of the independent verification/validation process.
