- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in agriculture, environmental science, natural resource management, or related field.
- Passion for nature-based solutions and the voluntary carbon market.
- Familiarity with carbon offset methodologies, such as VCS, ACR, or other relevant standards, and experience in applying them to project activities.
- Experience in data analysis, monitoring, and reporting, using tools such as GIS, Excel, and carbon accounting software.
- Demonstrated track record of regulatory compliance, mitigating risks, and enhancing operational efficiency aligns well with the requirements of this role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including farmers, scientists, and policymakers.
- Collaborative team player with self-motivation and initiative.
- Comfortable working in a startup environment with ambiguity and rapid changes.
- Proficiency in Google Suite software (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, etc.).
- Willingness to travel to project areas as needed.
Deskripsi Pekerjaan
- Serve as a subject matter expert to internal teams producing reports and analysis, following particular carbon methodologies, providing guidance on how to follow the requirements of carbon methodologies and how to document adherence.
- Lead the selection of the most appropriate Voluntary Carbon Market (VCM) methodologies for our projects, overseeing their implementation. Apply relevant carbon offset methodologies, such as VCS, GS, and Puro.earth, to quantify and verify carbonsequestration and emission reduction benefits.
- Ensure compliance with project methodologies and standards to facilitate the issuance ofcarbon credits.
- Implement carbon accounting, robust monitoring, and measurement systems to track project progress.
- Plan and coordinate all certification activities and contracts, ensuring timely execution and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Manage relationships and coordinate with consultants, implementing partners, experts, carbon standard bodies, and Validation and Verification bodies, maintaining effective communication and collaboration.
- Travel to project areas to ensure project progress towards objectives and goals, conducting site visits, and liaising with stakeholders to address any challenges or opportunities effectively.
- Stay updated on technical developments in voluntary carbon markets, attending conferences and webinars to support continued professional development.
