Dogger Bank Wind Farm dibangun dengan kapasitas 3,6 GW dan terletak 70 mil laut (130 km) di lepas pantai Yorkshire di perairan Inggris. Tahapnya disebut Dogger Bank A, B, dan C.

Di Dogger Bank A, turbin pertama telah mulai berputar dan menghasilkan listrik. Salah satu turbin terbesar dan terkuat di dunia, GE Vernova Haliade-X 13 MW, adalah turbin pertama yang digunakan dalam pembangkit listrik. Setiap putaran baling-baling sepanjang 107 meter dapat menghasilkan jumlah listrik yang cukup untuk menghidupkan rumah Inggris standar selama dua hari.

Khususnya, ladang angin ini adalah yang pertama di Inggris menggunakan teknologi transmisi arus searah tegangan tinggi (HVDC). Fasilitas operasi dan pemeliharaan ini akan menciptakan sekitar 400 lapangan kerja, mendukung ladang angin, dan akan bekerja sama dengan Equinor, GE Vernova, dan North Star.

Dogger Bank adalah perusahaan pembangkit listrik tenaga angin lepas pantai yang terisolasi di bagian tengah Laut Utara yang terletak di perairan Inggris, Jerman, Denmark, dan Belanda. Itu terletak di selatan laut.

Menurut penelitian dan bukti aktivitas manusia, vegetasi, dan sisa-sisa mamalia, wilayah ini secara umum merupakan daratan yang menghubungkan Inggris Raya dengan wilayah Eropa. Ini disebut Doggerland.

Ketika permukaan laut naik setelah glasiasi terakhir (zaman es), wilayah tersebut secara bertahap menjadi sebuah pulau sebelum akhirnya tertutup sepenuhnya oleh air sekitar 8000 hingga 5500 tahun yang lalu.

Pencapaian Dogger Bank

Dogger Bank akan terdiri dari 277 turbin di lepas pantai, yang akan menempati area hampir dua kali luas kota New York, dan akan memiliki kapasitas untuk memberikan listrik kepada sekitar enam juta rumah di Inggris setiap tahun setelah dibangun.
