Kualifikasi Umum
- Willing to be assigned around Mindanao.
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Geography, Geomatics, Environmental Sciences, or related field, with at least 2 years of experience in remote sensing and geospatial analysis.
- Strong expertise in land use change analysis, biomass estimation, and remote sensing of rural and natural landscapes; proficient in tools such as Google Earth Engine, R, ArcGIS/ArcMap, ENVI, ERDAS, or eCognition.
- Experience with drone and/or LiDAR monitoring is an advantage, with a strong commitment to environmental conservation.
Deskripsi Pekerjaan
The Remote Sensing Specialist (RSS) will lead satellite-based mapping of land cover, land use change, and digital terrain modeling within KenEco’s GIS team. The role places strong emphasis on land cover classification using multispectral satellite imagery (e.g., Sentinel-2 and similar sensors).
- Apply advanced land-use remote sensing using multispectral satellite and drone imagery to produce accurate LULUC maps with rigorous accuracy assessments (e.g., aligned with best practices such as the GOFC-GOLD REDD+ Sourcebook).
- Lead R&D on multi-sensor integration (LiDAR, radar, drone data) and advanced geospatial modeling to support innovative digital geospatial solutions.
- Ensure high-quality geospatial outputs through QA/QC, collaborate with external partners, and develop baseline and monitoring frameworks for nature-based carbon certification projects.
