Estimated GHG Emission Reduction: The Priok Block 4 CCGT is designed to significantly improve energy efficiency, which leads to a reduction in GHG emissions. The technology has a high efficiency rating (around 50.12%) and is equipped with Low NOx Burners to minimize exhaust gas emissions.

  • Verified Emission Reductions: 2,724,831 tCO₂e from 2021 to 2023.

Clean Energy Production: Although it uses fossil fuels, this CCGT power plant is strategically a more environmentally friendly option compared to conventional thermal power plants. Its higher efficiency reduces emissions per MWh of electricity generated. The plant supplies approximately 65% of the electricity demand in the Priok–Cawang–Bekasi subsystem.


Grid Connection: Connected to the Java-Madura-Bali (JAMALI) grid. This plant serves a crucial role in supporting the electricity supply, especially for the Jakarta metropolitan area, including vital locations such as the Vice President’s Palace and Halim Perdanakusuma Airport.
